Berau jungle is part of the vast Borneo jungle and is situated along the coastline of Berau, Derawan archipelago islands. The pristine rainforest is home to some of the world’s most extraordinary plants and animals, such as the rare long-nose red colored monkeys, lizards, clouded leopards, an enormous variety of birds, pitcher plants, wild orchids and much more.
The islands of Derawan, Sangalaki, Kakaban and Maratua are part of East Kalimantan, the Indonesian part of Borneo, and have many exotic white beaches and palm trees. Derawan is an amazing paradise, both below and above sea level.

Derawan et Berau... c'est vraiment un petit paradis. Pas encore trop exploré, belle nature, des gens sympas et beaucoup d'aventure. J'adore cette partie de l'Indonésie, même malgré le long voyage, il vaut la peine!!

Best of both worlds
We loved this trip as it gave us the opportunity to explore both jungle and underwater life. There really is a good balance in what Mundooz offers during this trip. Sleeping in the jungle camp was quite an experience, but one we'd definately recommend.
