Peucang is an island situated in the national park of Ujung Kulon and is home to a wide variety of wildlife. There are several other beautiful islands nearby, but Peucang Island is the most popular one; it has an exotic white sandy beach where you can interact with deer, pigs and even monkeys.

This national park, located in the southwestern tip of Java, includes the Ujung Kulon peninsula and several offshore islands and even encompasses the natural reserve of Krakatoa. Besides its natural beauty and geological interest, it contains the largest remaining area of lowland rainforest in the Java plains. It is home to several species of endangered fauna and flora, such as the critically endangered Javan rhinoceros. The Ujung Kulon peninsula provides an invaluable natural habitat, critical for the survival of many plants an animals.

Hidden treasure

When visiting Peucang island, you'll agree that it has the most beautiful beaches in Java. The water is so clear and blue and the sand so white and soft.
The island is still a hidden treasure: not many Indonesian people know or visit this place the number of visitors is restricted due to the limited accommodation, so you'll mostly find yourself alone on the beach which make it feels like you're being in a private island.
Another great part of the island is its striking natural habitat.
The only activities on the island are swimming, snorkeling, trekking & island hopping, there's night life/pub/café, etc. Therefore I highly recommend this place to anyone who's looking for a quiet, hidden and beautiful place around Java.
