Mundooz did a great job, we were able to make full use of our time in this part of Vietnam. The scenery in Halong Bay is almost magical, and it was great to spend the night aboard a vessel, as you get to watch both sunset and sunrise over the bay and its islands.
We also really enjoyed spending time with the ethnic Tay family in their traditional house in Quynh Son village, this experience taught us so much about the Tay people's food, culture and customs.
The view from the peak over Bac Son Valley is breathtaking. Just don't forget to bring your camera (and spare batteries, as you'll be taking A LOT of pics!).

I'm still afterglowing! Great trip, stunning places. Wouldn't be able to choose which part I liked best - Halong Bay or Bac Son Valley? Both destinations are so different yet so beautiful. Very interesting meeting and talking with local people. Definitely recommend this trip if you only have a limited period of time to spend in Vietnam but are keen to see and do as much as possible!
